About Us
Our Mission
Our mission as Chosen Daughters of Destiny, Inc., is to help young ladies ages 10 through 24 to discover that defining moment in their lives, that will enable them to discover who they are and who they were created to be as they journey to their destiny.
Today’s young women begin a metamorphosis around 10 years of age struggling to understand who they are. They are faced with having to make decisions about what standards they will live by as they begin the process of evolving into a young woman. Our society through every form of media and through peer-pressure thrust them into situations most of us never had to think about until we were much older. Throughout their teen years they are forced into making decisions that will determine the course of their lives. Whether their choices are good or not will in large part depend upon how much they are able to believe in themselves!
During the many years we have worked with youth, we have discovered that the most critical years in a young woman’s life are between the ages of 10-24. Those are years when young women need validation, direction, a sense of purpose, and the security of knowing they are accepted by their peers. We want to help foster the kind of positive characteristics in young women that enhance their sense of self to the extent that they will make decisions based on what is good for them, both today and tomorrow! We want to show them how to choose healthy relationships that will not use or abuse them, but will support their standards and values.
Our Passion
Our passion is to affect and influence the lives of young women by helping them to understand their purpose, their fight, and their journey!
We desire to strengthen young women and to inform them that they can embrace their purpose today! We work to assist them with developing their God-given abilities; ultimately to help them to realize that they have the potential to impact this world with their gifts!
Our number one goal is to prevent young women from making unwise choices. We have been privileged to have experienced both the failure that comes from making poor choices and the wonderful privileges that are associated with making good choices. Our personal testimonies provide for the young women a realistic preview of the challenges they are facing, emphasizing the power of the God who can strengthen them to overcome any and all challenges and bring them to living a victorious life every day!
We do not presume to have all the answers and we draw from a network of other professional women and men that have the same passion and the same goals, so we can influence this generation of young women to become all they are meant to be!
History
Chosen Daughters of Destiny, Inc. was birthed in December 2006 by Deborah C. Anthony and Tonica A. Boyd. Since the conception of the organization a host of women who have the same vision have conducted several workshops, symposiums, and established our Annual Conference “He Knows My Name”.
